Amanda and Ruth will be guiding us in the letterpress studio, printing holiday cards and in the gallery

Amanda Stevenson is the Curator at the Museum of Printing History in
Houston. She has a Masters in Library Science from Pratt Institute in New
York City, as well as a BA in Art History and a BA in Russian Studies from
the University of Texas at Austin. She comes to the Museum of Printing
History after three years at the Center for Book Arts in New York, where she
was the Registrar/Administrator, responsible for exhibitions, collections,
and fundraising activities.


Ruth Downes is an attorney with a BFA and an MFA in etching. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Printing History, and serves as President of the MPH Printers Guild. She is interested in making small book editions that are printed, illustrated and bound by hand, as well as other printing projects.
