Star Tunnel Books August 2009
Thursday August 6, 2009
6:00-8:00pm
Museum of Printing History
$7.00
Please RSVP to Myssie Light mlight@printingmuseum.org if planning to attend.
One helper is needed, please let me know if you would like to volunteer to assist.
Making the Star Tunnel Book will include three accordions sewn together into a five pointed star to explore the platform image at the end of the tunnel and the interplay of shadows. We will sew and assemble the books with a ribbon closure, hard covers and a sleeve to slip over the finished Star Book.
Supplies to bring:
Bone folder, glue stick and art images (can be any of the following: rubber stamps, stickers, drawings, paintings, collage) for the end of the tunnel – five images, 4 inches wide by 2 inches high (or ten images 2” x 2”) for inside the book, plus an image for the sleeve and/or two images for the covers (2” x 2” or smaller). I will have art images for those who may want to use them, or you can use your own. All other supplies will be provided. RSVP by July 16th for the August 6th meeting.
